How can I have a telehealth video consultation with my specialist?
To have a telehealth video consultation with your specialist, you must be referred by your GP. Not all specialists offer telehealth video consultations – your GP will discuss options with you.
Is it easy to use the telehealth software?
Yes. Our software is user friendly, and you’ll be supported by our customer support team should you encounter any difficulties.
What are the advantages of a telehealth video consultation?
Telehealth consultations will reduce the waiting time to see a specialist, making it easier to get quality healthcare faster. And because you don’t have to leave your home, you’ll save both time and travel costs.
What happens during a telehealth video consultation appointment
You can participate in the video consulation via your computer, laptop or smartphone. The consult will then happen in much the same way as it would if you were in a consultation room.
How private is the telehealth video consultation?
The same privacy and confidentiality requirements that apply to face-to-face consultations, also apply to telehealth video consultations.
Will the telehealth video consultation be recorded?
No. Consultations are not recorded by Access Telehealth or your specialist. You are also prohibited from recording the consultation.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
Telehealth video consultations do require a lot of coordination, so please try to keep your appointment time once it’s made. If you do need to cancel your appointment or are running late, then please let our operations team know ASAP by calling 1300 886 077 (option 2) OR email operations@accesstelehealth.com.au. Please note, we require a minimum 48 hours notice to change or cancel your appointment.”
