FAQs

Access Telehealth FAQs for NDIS Support Coordinators

What is a telehealth consult?

Telehealth video consultations are an alternative option to physical consultations and are conducted using Access Telehealth software, the internet and a webcam.

How much does it cost?

All consultations are charged in line with NDIS guidelines.

Is it easy to use the telehealth software?

Yes. Our software is user friendly and your Participant will be supported by our customer support team should they encounter any difficulties.

What are the advantages of a telehealth video consultation?

Telehealth consultations will reduce the waiting time to see a specialist, making it easier to get quality healthcare faster. And because the consultation is from home, there will be both time and travel cost savings.

What happens during a telehealth video consultation appointment?

Your Participant and guardian or carer (If required) will be at a computer screen to participate in the video consultation. The consult will then happen in much the same way as it would if they were in a consultation room.

How private is the telehealth video consultation?

The same privacy and confidentiality requirements that apply to face-to-face consultations, also apply to telehealth video consultations.

Will the telehealth video consultation be recorded?

No. Consultations are not recorded by Access Telehealth, or the specialist.

How does Access Telehealth help?

We make it easy for the Participant. We will take care of all intake and referral forms, matching the Participant with the right Allied Health Professional and booking appointments and follow-ups.
